Semi-Continuous Sealed Quench Furnace is a high-productivity Super-TKM series of furnaces by Dowa-HIGHTEMP. This heat treatment is primarily used for processes like carburising, carbonitriding, annealing, and hardening of metals like steel. The semi-continuous feature allows for a certain level of continuity, where batches of materials are processed sequentially, with a certain degree of continuous flow between different stages.

Types

Gas Fired

The Gas option for the Super TKM involves the use of natural gases within the furnace. Reputed burners installed at the top of the furnace provide the required temperature for the heat treatment. The Gas-fired Super TKM is suitable for large-scale industrial applications where high throughput and cost-efficiency are essential.

Semi Continuous Sealed Quench Furnace ?

Please, read the answers to frequently asked questions about our products.

A semi-continuous Sealed Quench Furnace is a heat treatment that operates in a semi-continuous mode- it can handle batches of parts in a controlled- sequential manner rather than continuously processing materials. The semi-continuous combines the processing of both batch and continuous.

The main difference between the batch and continuous furnaces is their operational modes. The batch furnace processes a set of parts; each set is loaded, treated, and then unloaded before the next set is processed. The continuous furnace on the other hand operates continuously with the parts entering and exiting the furnace through a conveyor or belt system.

The advantage of HIGHTEMP’s Super TKM- Semi-Continuous Sealed Quench Furnace is that it offers higher productivity and throughput, is cost-effective when compared to a continuous furnace, and can handle a range of batch sizes.

The heat-treated parts are transferred from the heating chamber to the quenching chamber without exposing them to the air. The quenching medium rapidly cools the parts, helping them achieve the desired hardness and mechanical properties.
